Lilly Library and Oscar

We went to Lilly Rare Books Library at the University of Indiana in Bloomington this morning. We handled over $30 million dollars of books including original James Bond Manuscripts, The original Peter Pan and one of the first copies of Shakespeares Completed printed works. Incredible.

Perhaps the highlight though was being allowed to hold a real academy award! AN OSCAR. Mark is still raving about it 8 hours later. Although theory says that if you hold one you're not going to win one... so perhaps we'll all have to give up that dream.

The weather appears to have turned and the sun is out, so much so that we had to purchase suncreen and I'm wishing I'd bought shorts. A huge change from the freezing weather we experienced when we arrived in Chicago which meant we had to wait on the tarmac whilst they de-iced our plane to manke the connection to Loiusville.

Atalie, maybe you should not tell this to Mark, but he and the team missed their first opportunity to hold a real OSCAR on Wednesday, in Vincennes. We have Red Skelton's OSCAR at the Red skelton Theatre on the campus of Vincennes University. Red was a famous comedian that was born and grew-up in Vincennes. Have Roger to check out Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance on www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPbIls0iOnI. He will see why so many Rotary Clubs in District 6580 recite the Pledge as he has mentioned before. Have a good night.
