NO CLUB VISITS!

Today is a day of Rotary 'business' - the morning has been mine to waste on email and scanning the internet, great fun but where does the time go?  12.30pm and off to meet GSE Coordinator Gary Eastman to sign papers and discuss the impending visit to New Orleans by Neville Hanks, Kate Lang, Hayden Littlewood and Natalie Sullivan, who will be supported by Team Leader Rtn Pamela Burns.

This exchange is of real excitement to all of us. There is so much that this team will have the opportunity to learn during their time there and of course, their experience and ideas will be shared with the many people they will meet on this once in a lifetime experience. Thank you D1260 for your continued support of the Foundation programmes and Group Study Exchange - I know this team will gain immense vocational benefit from it.

Following my time with Gary I headed over to Tilsworth to meet with IPDG Sandy, DGE John, DGN Debbie and of course our DGN nominee Gavin Plews. The meeting is for Strategy and Succession Planning. We usually hold one of these meeting three times per year before a District Executive meeting. The idea is to share our thoughts within this small group, ultimately ensuring continuity in strategic and operational planning and effective leadership through identification of future Rotary District team members.

I would really urge you to consider what skills, experience and motivational action you could bring to our District Teams. We are actively seeking people to join the variety of committees that operate in support of Clubs and members of District 1260.
