Dear Amanda,
I am writing to formally say thankyou for the £4,000 cheque you presented to Michael and myself on Saturday at the District Conference.
Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved with the raising of these funds.
The monies you have donated to DEBRA will be used for our Nurses, Social Care and Research. With your support we will eventually find a cure for EB and eradicate this condition.

The 2011 District 1260 Conference tee'd off today with the traditional golf tournament, held this year at the magnificent South Cliff Golf Course, Scarborough.
You do get impressions about things you organise. My early one about this year's Conference Golf was about numbers; numbers who had attended the last three or four Conference golf events and whether this year would be any different - when I mentioned it at Bath last year to the first two Presidents of the organising Rotary Club they convinced me it would be 'OK on the night' so I took on the task for another year.
It was hard work - not helped by the committee's decision not to include registration for the golf on the booking form. We finished with nine - although at one point I had ten - entries and we set off on the South Cliff Golf Course at 1.30 pm on Friday afternoon with the traditional complimentary drive by our President. Amanda was handed a 3 wood, ball placed on a tee peg on the first tee, and immediately sought refuge from any embarrasssment by declaring she wasn't confident with a wood - she preferred an iron. Offered one, she declined, and promptly drove the ball 200 + yards straight down the fairway and within a pitching iron of the first green.

District Governor Amanda challenged us to develop a hands on fun project for Conference - in which every club can take part.
It's an opportunity for you to celebrate and show off your year. We intend to build a wall of Club Celebration Pictures.
Each club will have the display area of one A1 card in Landscape.
We would love it if clubs who are not able to come to Conference also provided a Club Celebration Picture. So it doesn't get damaged during your journey, we suggest that you finally assemble the picture at Scarborough - we will provide materials and there will be time on the Saturday during lunch and the afternoon.
For full details go to the District Website or download the Big Picture Project Guide from: http://tinyurl.com/Big-Picture-Guide
