Nick Hurd MP has graciously accepted an invitation from the Rotary Club of High Wycombe to speak about the government's view of the role of service clubs in the 'Big Society'. This is likely to be a keynote speech that is of special interest to all service oriented clubs, (and the media) therefore we have booked space and dinner for 250 in the venue in anticipation of your presence.
The event will take place in the Vere Suite, Adams Park, Hillbottom Road, High Wycombe [HP12 4HJ for Sat-Navers] on Thursday 1st December 2011.

In 2010 an active rally programme was again enjoyed with nearly fifty rallies at home, supporting the RIBI Conference in Bournemouth, tours in East Anglia, Wales, the Yorkshire Dales and a new Golfing Rally in Middle England. The two major Fellowship Rallies, the AGM at Stratford on Avon Racecourse and the Autumn Fellowship Meeting at Banham Zoo in Norfolk were well supported.
We have also visited many Rotary clubs at different times on our travels. This year we had the pleasure to visit Newport Pagnell in our district as we were staying on the Town site and other times have visited Milton Keynes Grand Union, my own club.

This year's District Bowls Tournament will be held on Wednesday 15th September 2010 at Bushey Bowling Club, Chiltern Avenue, Bushey, Herts. WD23 4RF
Those of you who took part last year will already know how much fun and fellowship is to be enjoyed on this highly competitive occasion and this year we hope to have even more entries. Once again Bushey Bowling Club is very kindly hosting the event. Their hospitality, facilities and refreshments are all superb. We do hope you will be able to take part, whether or not you have done so before.
The event is a very well established Red Letter Day in the District 1260 Sporting Calendar. The cost will be £30 per team of three including lunch and tea. All teams, will play a minimum of four games and the two most successful teams will then play a Final to decide the winners. For an entry form please click on the link below
