It may seem that the next Council on Legislation in April 2010 is a long way off. However, changes to the timetable for submitting proposed legislation mean that we must make an earlier start than usual in considering any changes we wish to propose in the organisation's rules. |

A PERSONAL VIEW FROM PDG DEREK ADAMSThere are those thatask why we need Rotary International, why could we not act as individual self-governingClubs, each getting on with helping the community. Well yes we could, but wewould lose an awful lot in terms of cohesion and corporate image. Inevitablyevery Club would be different and the extreme variations would probably be verywide indeed. We need a central coordinating structure to give us this cohesionso that the public all over the world recognise us as part of the sameorganisation. |
