ri pres electjohnkenny.jpgWe still have a few months to go of this Rotary Year but Rotary must move on and the progress in clubs and the continuity that we have established will hopefully make us even stronger next year.

So we all welcome DGE Sandy and Newport Pagnell Club President David back from RIBI assembly with the message from RI President-Elect John Kenny.

"The future of Rotary will not be shaped at RI headquarters -- it will be shaped in each and every Rotary club," Kenny said, "because it is for each of us -- as Rotarians -- to do what is necessary to keep Rotary strong."

futureofrotaryhands.jpgDuring my visits to clubs this year I have said that clubs are the most important ingredient of Rotary and it's the individual clubs objective and their work that meet the needs of today and of the future of Rotary to "Make Dreams Real" for so many.

I am pleased to see that it is the intention of RI to follow the same line with clubs as the centre of our work and the growth in membership that reflects our communities.

Continuity is essential if we are to build year on year and with the new theme

"The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands" we can continue to "Make Dreams Real"

Please take time to watch John Kenny's presentation at the RI Assembly on the RI website or YOUTUBE where you will also see many other very interesting and entertaining Rotary videos.
