You might think this a timely and fun opportunity to engage the public
Sometimes we are critical of RI and RIBI, but this demonstrates some initiative. A simple concept of spreading the word, creating awareness of Rotary and the opportunity to End Polio Now (EPN) by engaging kids ... their teachers, parents, football fans and known EPN suporters and therefore potential Rotarians, as we lead up to the World Cup.
Have a look at this RIBI link to the Kick Polio Out of Africa RI site and consider if this has relevance to your school and other supporting End Polio Now contacts.
With more to come from us on the Focus on the Crocus (October
planting) initiative and lots more leading up to Rotary Day, this is a
timely tool for you to use to keep T4L/EPN in the public mind.
Why not drop a 'mail to your schools,
business, football, rugby and others that play with great balls and
invite them to kick and nominally sign the ball to show their support
for eliminating this devastating disease. Their signatures with others
around the globe will appear on the website and will join millions in
the fight against this crippling and potentially fatal disease. [You
might also invite them to visit these websites to find out more ...]
