14 Steps to a New Rotary Club Print E-mail

Bob Stewart put together this simple list of 14 Steps to form a newvibrant Rotary Club.

  1. Decide on locality for the new club
  2. Survey using a local contact
  3. Identify up to 10 prospective members
  4. Hold Interest Meeting when the group will choose :-
    1. Dress Code
    2. Meeting night
    3. Meeting time
    4. Refreshment & Room layout
    5. Venue
    6. Database Info inc. e-mail
    7. Next meeting and frequency
    8. Recruitment
  5. After meeting send e-mail of
    1. Welcome
    2. Minute
    3. Notice of next meeting
  6. When signed up numbers hit 10 - send completed Ext.06 forms to RIBI
  7. Speakers - Life Talks, friends and maybe some Rotarians.
  8. Decide on name of new club
  9. When numbers reach 16 - Nominations and Ballot
  10. When numbers at 20 (min for Charter) - Plan the Inaugural
  11. By Inaugural try to have 24 in club -  Meeting chaired by DG. All sign up.
  12. Within 2 months the club organise their Charter Presentation
  13. Year in Care from the date of Charter
  14. 1 year later - transfer to District Membership Services
